I'd like to start this thread by thanking PokerTube and 24hPoker for organising the successful and highly enjoyable PokerTube Online Championship. I'd also like to offer my congratulations to the reigning champions, Team UlDuffer. I've compiled a list of suggestions for the POC season 2, if anyone would like to comment on them or would like to add some of their own please do so. I will give Rikard the link to this thread so he can peruse them at his leisure. I think it would be particularly useful to hear any feedback from the people who were unable or unwilling to participate in the last event.

Team Sizes I think standardizing the team sizes would be a good idea, that way everyone knows how much they will have to pay right from the start and it would make the job of collecting buy-ins simpler. Also it would be much easier for people to see which teams were complete and which ones were still looking for members. From what I recall most of the teams settled on 5 members anyway, which seemed like the optimal number.
Team Recruitment With regard to the recruitment process I suggest we have one forum thread for the solo players looking for a team so they can advertise their availability to the team captains. This seems to me to be a more direct approach and would save Rikard the trouble of having to find teams for all of them. Perhaps once people found teams they could go back and type RECRUITED in big black letters at the bottom of their posts. I also think it would be a good idea if all the teams had their own forum thread, preferably with a list of all the team members on the first post so everyone can see how the teams are coming together. Maybe each team could be allocated a number that they could add to their thread titles so we could see how many there are at any given point. Hopefully if people see lots of activity in the forum they will be more inclined to get involved.
Buy-in Personally I thought the buy-in was pretty reasonable, but if halving the buy-in meant that significantly more people entered it would probably be worth considering. It would be nice to get 16 teams so we could play some MTTs.
Bulletin Board Again, just a separate thread in the forum where PokerTube could post any announcements/updates and people could sort out any issues they have. There was a thread that I assume was for this purpose in the last POC but it didn't get used much, probably because the title was a bit ambiguous, hopefully if you call it a bulletin board people will know what its for and what to expect.
Keeping Score I don't have a proposal for this but if anyone can come up with a more efficient and accurate method of keeping score each week I'd welcome it.

If anything, I would like to see the buy in upped, its a long tournament series so the better the prize the better tournament.

I wasn't expecting that one to be popular with the regulars, but having a lower buy-in doesn't necessarily lower the prize pool if you have more people entering. And on the other hand raising the buy-in wouldn't mean a bigger prize pool if fewer people entered. I'm sure there's a happy medium somewhere, maybe we could do a poll.

I guarentee that if you up the buyin, you wont get enough people playing... If you keep the buyin the same but double the entries, the winnings should be more than enough...

people didnt know about it without a doubt. I think the 20E buyin is spot on where it needs to be, i for one wasnt too impressed with the set up of it, it all seemed very last minute but it turned out amazingly and i wish i had joined... The next season will defo have an increase in numbers IMO.

Personally I'd like slightly longer blind levels...maybe 7/8 minutes. With 5 minute blinds, the HU play ended up getting to a shove match and I would like there to be more play and a higher flop %...not sure if peeps would agree with that one, but an idea nonetheless!

I think most people want that, but I'm guessing it's difficult trying to fit in 4 HU matches and 2 SnGs/MTTs into an evening. If it is possible though slower blind levels/larger starting stacks would be nice to facilitate more post flop play.

It would be possible if maybe we did some multi tabling - seeing as most people tend to anyway online

I think the longest HU matches lasted just over 20mins so maybe there's a bit of room for adjustment there. I don't think it would be a complete disaster if the odd match overran slightly into the next one. Certainly the 4-man SNGs didn't last anywhere near the 1 hour of alloted time.

imo i think the 24h poker blindstructure is just that - the 24h poker blind strcuture...not saying its set in stone but im doubting the structure is gonna be changing much in that sense. i'm fine with fast structure, its good for people like me who just wanna push-bot and rely on luck :P

Think you're probably right, I wasn't too fussed about it myself, I think in general the better players still ended up with more points.

Imo there is little wiggle room to alter the structure, of the HU matches especially, also talk of diminished skill level has been bandied about, but Team Lads topped their group, Team Duffer topped theirs, both comfortably, and both made the final, also comfortably, no disrespect to the other teams, but it seems like skill definitely existed ...but then we did lose the final so maybe not.

(havent bother reading the posts under if anyone already have suggested this)

I don't mind what day it's on but Saturday night is probably the night when a lot of people have other plans. I would prefer it if it started slightly later in the evening than 6:30 and it would be nice if it didn't coincide with any of the other PokerTube tourneys next time.
