Erm.... Only a little way through but.... when the guy shoves his last 7 BBs in with A10, u say that he shouldn't be shoving there, he should be raising to 3x and then folding if he gets shoved on....? Maybe I heard u wrong. This is just pure and simply wrong. If u have 7 BBs and A10: SHOVE. If for any reason u decide to commit chips to the pot without moving in (which yo should never do) NEVER FOLD.
OK i have now rewatched it 3 times because i was still in disbelief... and u do say that. And u 10 table 9 man s n gs?

On the AJ v AQ hand... U pretty much contradict yourself here. First of all lets have a look at the hand, we get an UTG limp from a 16 BB stack, and a a 3x raise from the hijack. The UTG then flats out of position. The flop comes up Jh 3c Qh. 1st guy checks, we get a c bet for half the pot from the pre flop raiser, and then the check raise all in from the 1st guy. At this point u say 'we could have a top pair situation, or a draw, Ak maybe, royal flush draws?' You get the jist. I would say after the limp UTG you have the 10 9 and K 10 straight draws in his range, a large number of flush draws, a bunch of J combinations, as well as top pair and even then i would be thinking this guy is unlikely to have AQ or KQ because he didnt raise pre flop. On top of this the guy had already invested a third of his stack and this is a solid call for me. However once the cards are flipped over and u 'analyse' it, u say that the guy pretty much always has top pair, probably AQ and the guy has no business calling the shove with AJ. U even say no1 s gonna be doing that with less than top pair, no1 would check raise anything else there if they know what they're doing.... He is going to play any flush draw or open ender the exact same way, and as i said before its difficult to put him on AQ after the UTG limp, so how u can say this i don't know, especially after saying the guy might have a draw before u saw the cards flipped over!
Its very results oriented commentary and u dont seem to have much of a concept of putting people on a range of hands, or the relevance of how many chips have already been invested/how BBs are in each stack

with AT and 7bb i prefer 3x-calling to shoving fwiw, but 3x folding is not so cool :( I'm a frog man :)

Last response:
1) With your preflop raise sizing from like 10 mins in, u say how u can tell if a player is good by if they 2.5x it rather than 3x ing it. For the record you would be better off basically min raising by this stage, it does the same job. 2) J9 Blind on Blind shove was fine for me 3) There is an open shove from the button for less than 9 BBs at around 14 mins in, where u fold A7 in the BB and didnt actually even mention it. I think this is a call against his button shoving range which is pretty damn wide here. You only had like 6 BBs left, i think this is a good time to just call and get it in, maybe u just didnt notice on the replayer? 4) You fold K4 in the small blind in an unraised pot with 6 BBs, this is a shove for me again here, once again u did not consider it as a possibility/mention it 5) OK getting worse now! with <4 BBs in the small blind in an unraised pot u fold A2, shove shove shove !!!! u do at least say that u probably should have shoved there in hindsight. 6) When u call the shove with QJ of hearts u say one of your leaks is calling off too light. The way u had been playing the guy would be shoving any 2 on the button so its the call with QJ suited really isnt so bad like u are saying. 7) U can't be raise folding the 22 there, tbh i probably just ship it pre. 8) When u say u are not sure if shoving your A4 is a good move blind on blind 3 handed when the BB had less than 3 BBs behind..... this is a never fold situation, yes its a shove, its a big hand at this stage, i dont think u can even induce a shove by playing it any other way. just get it in, this was a correct play. Also you will be shoving like 80% of hands, actually probs any 2, u cant give him a walk there 9) 66 is the correct call every time there. u were not too loose there.
Hope some of that helps, have a look at shoving ranges, its important in sit n gos like that to know when u need to be shoving and what range to call a shove with. Good luck sir!

Thanks for the comments mattyp4!
I am still learning the game, yes A10 is a shove I'm not sure what I was thinking there. Perhaps I should have watched the HH before doing the video!! Lol. Cheers for the 66 comments, I was not sure there. Slowly it's coming, but I spotted a few mistakes. I'll keep cracking on but I really appreciate the constructive comments! I was 10 tabling, but will reduce this to around 6 until I'm flowing with good moves. I've been watching Jonathan Little's videos and if I'd have posted the same video before watching them it would have been far worse, you'd have probably still been typing!
Reading your comments above, it is good that I am muddling my way to basically the right place (albeit a few glaring mistakes) but I will be clearer soon on the right move. It certainly helps to know that some of my confused moments (that I just went for it when playing 10 tables) were just shove spots and nothing to get too frazzled over.
More soon!
Thanks again, mal255

Just a quick point on the PT3 hand replayer, if you click on the date tab on the tournament hands section it should put them in the right order, then when you click on the little play button it should play through the whole tournament automatically. (You can still pause it if you need to).

mattp4 did a good job expressing the same thoughts I had when watching the vid. You did seem to be confused about some pretty basic concepts, and misreading the situations in terms of stack sizes and so on.
I think your game would benefit greatly if you invested in Sit n Go Wizard and ran it in quiz mode until shoving and calling ranges are second nature to you.
Oh, and there was a hand where you were in the big blind with an extreme short stack in the small blind and a competent player "steals" from the button. You consider the possibility of re-stealing because you think his range is wide... Again your analysis of the situation is lacking. Put yourself in the position of the button raiser: He has an extreme short stack in the small blind, and he has to expect that that guy will call him with a veeery wide range, and still he think his hand is worth investing in. He just can't steal lightly in that spot, so re-shovingg with complete trash and put your healthy stack at risk doesn't look like a brilliant idea.

Your welcome mal. Thats good advice from Bix Bax to get a better hold on shoving ranges too. A lot of the problems can be sorted with some basic strategy and practise, and 1 table s n gs are a decent way to learn without investing that much. Thanks for the upload, looking forward to another with some improved play!

Me too!!
First time I'd ever tried to commentate so it was tempting to reflect on results, plus I wasn't feeling as sharp as normal.
Playing some more tonight and over the weekend and will review some.
Awesome advice on the replayer, really helpful!
Anyone know how to extract the full HH from Pokertracker to use in Universal Replayer, which is better visually?
Mal

I don't know anything about Universal Replayer but to export a whole HH for a tournament you go to database management, click on export, then select the tournament you want and save it. Presumably you can then import the file you saved to Universal Replayer.

You should get Sit N Go Wizard or something similar to study your shove/fold/call game. I noticed you would have questions about certain spots. This is an invaluable tool for SNGs. And I get no money from referring you to this software. GL
