Every single Sunday the FT players make a deal, because no one likes the weird payout structure.
Why doesn't PS just change it?

Nothing weird with the payout structure at all imo it looks pretty standard to me if you look at it you can see that 1st gets 15% of the prizepool
2nd gets 12%, 3rd gets 8%, 4th gets 5.3% it isn't too steep or too flat i think its the way it should be.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that they're playing for money they cud never dream of and the variance is too huge for them to deal with it... Only maybe because I heard that nobody gives a shit about 200k

Well maybe you like it, but it is definitely not the norm.

1st place pays 20 times the amount of what 9th place gets. Usually this ratio is as low as 12:1 or even 10:1.

Even the commentators think the structure is steep; they have mentioned this quite often in the past, especially when they talk about players trying to fold their way to the HU.

I would say you need to look at the incredibly large numbers they are dealing with. That is what makes the difference between 1st and 9th seem so "unfair" (this is what I'm guessing BartJ is implying). I mean they only invested $215 so the ROI on that even for 9th is amazing, right?

And Cina, is the difference between 1st and 2nd only 3%? That seems really low.

Hm yea more like 4% it differs slightly depending on the number of entries, u can look in the Sunday Million lobby click tournament info and below the structure you can see the payout structure depending of number of entrants for a normal sunday million its usually around the 7000 range and there 1st gets 15% and 2nd 11% but 4% of a 1.5M prizepool is quite huge like 60k!

Is it just me, or does tunafish make the deal-making a pain in the ass? Even when he just needs to type "i agree" he's like "lock it in scotty!" LOL troll!

Fair or unfair have nothing to do with it; the players know the payout structure in advance.

It is unusual, and so pretty much every Sunday the players change it.

If you need an example, look at this year's WSOP ME: 9th got 782k, 1st got 8716k - 1:11, an average payout structure.

Actually, he's really taking the piss out of the whole thing. He says "lock it in Eddie." Which is a reference to Who Wants to be a Millionaire. (which is hosted by a guy called Eddie Mcguire in Australia)

It's kind of an aussie 'meme' I guess, because Eddie is always asking "is that your final answer? really? Are you sure you want to lock it in?"

Meaning "let's get this thing over with, enough back and forth already."
